Talking About Likes With -ER Verbs – French 1 worksheet with Zoé, the Français PDF coach

Quick answer: Regular -er verbs form the present by dropping -er and adding -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent: je parle, nous parlons, ils parlent. For French 1 students practising -er verbs, this worksheet gives 20 problems from easy to hard: conjugate parler, fill in the ending and choose the verb form. The answer key is on a separate page, and the worksheet is a free printable PDF.

These twenty problems begin with the six endings of parler, then move on to elision with j’, verbs followed by an infinitive, and the choice between jouer à and jouer de. Two problems use a profile card and a club poster as sources.

The worksheet fits French 1 at the ACTFL Novice Mid level. It trains reading, conversation and writing, and the last five problems ask for translation, a reading text and short personal writing.
