Finding Your Way Around a French City – French A1 test answer key with Zoé, the Français PDF coach

The questions are on the French Directions Vocabulary test. Take it under real conditions before reading the answer key.

Quick answer: To find a place in French, say Excusez-moi, où est la gare ? The answer uses the polite command form of vous: Allez tout droit, puis tournez à gauche. This scoring guide gives the expected answers and the points for the 8 questions of the French A1 test on French directions vocabulary, from match place and meaning to write a short exchange, with the equivalent answers to accept.

Mark with the model answers and scoring notes. For the map, check that left and right agree with the direction of travel. Accept any other correct wording in the open tasks, as long as commands use the vous form.
