Quick answer: The French past conditional (conditionnel passé) names an action that would have happened but did not. For French 4 students practising past conditional, this worksheet gives 20 problems from easy to hard: avoir or être?, past participles and conjugating with avoir. The answer key is on a separate page, and the worksheet is a free printable PDF.
This worksheet trains the formation and use of the conditionnel passé for French 4 students, in line with ACTFL Intermediate Mid. The first problems check auxiliaries and participles; later ones build whole sentences with si + plus-que-parfait.
Work in order. The last five problems ask for translation, reading and your own writing about regrets, in the spirit of the interpretive and presentational standards.
