Negotiating in French worksheet with answers for French B2 (free PDF download)

Proposals, conditions and compromise in French – French B2 worksheet with Zoé, the Français PDF coach

Quick answer: To negotiate in French, open with a soft proposal such as Je vous propose de… or Que diriez-vous de…, attach conditions with à condition que plus the subjunctive or à condition de plus an infinitive, and close with a compromise marked by en contrepartie or marché conclu. For French B2 students practising negotiating in French, this worksheet gives 20 problems from easy to hard: complete the proposal, match sentence and function and que or de?. The answer key is on a separate page, and the worksheet is a free printable PDF.

These twenty problems train the language of business negotiation at CEFR B2: suggesting, setting conditions with the right mood, conceding and closing. They move from short gap-fills to rewriting, a reading task and a full email.

The set matches the spoken interaction standard for B2 and the DELF B2 oral and written tasks. Problems 16 to 20 are the hardest.
