How the French 2 worksheets work
The sheets are built around the places where second-year students slip: choosing avoir or être in “telling what happened with avoir” and “coming, going and staying with être”, matching a reflexive verb in “describing your morning routine in French”, and deciding between the imparfait and the passé composé when a story needs both. The pronoun sheets, “replacing nouns: le, la, les and friends”, “talking to someone: lui, leur, me, te” and “replacing places and quantities with y and en”, begin with one-word replacements and grow into full sentences with the pronoun in the right slot. Problems are sorted from easy to hard, from one-word answers to short writing, and the student marks the sheet together with the key. Teachers can assign the sheets as homework in the same order as the lessons book, from “telling what happened with avoir” to “never, nothing, nobody: saying no in French”.
