Answering and Making Phone Calls – French A1 worksheet with Zoé, the Français PDF coach

Quick answer: To make a basic call in French, answer with Allô ?, introduce yourself with C'est plus your name, and ask Je voudrais parler à Mme Lemaire. For French A1 students practising French phone calls, this worksheet gives 20 problems from easy to hard: match the phrases, build the request and numbers in digits. The answer key is on a separate page, and the worksheet is a free printable PDF.

These twenty problems train the language of a first phone call in French: answering, giving your name, asking for someone, waiting, leaving a message and reading numbers aloud.

They follow CEFR A1 listening goals. Read every line aloud, because the phrases are meant to be heard and spoken. Problems 1 to 5 are recognition, 6 to 14 build short phrases, and 15 to 20 ask for full calls.
