Watch out with offrir

Use avoir

In compound tenses offrir takes avoir (j’ai offert). The participle offert agrees only with a direct object placed before the verb.

Irregular stems

Learn the stems, not the endings: the present is j’offre / nous offrons / ils offrent, and the future and conditional use offrir- (j’offrirai, j’offrirais).
