Watch out with voir

Use avoir

In compound tenses voir takes avoir (j’ai vu). The participle vu agrees only with a direct object placed before the verb.

Irregular stems

Learn the stems, not the endings: the present is je vois / nous voyons / ils voient, and the future and conditional use verr- (je verrai, je verrais).
